Make a good impressionism
There are few institutions in the world that can match the calibre and diversity of the National Gallery of Australia. Works from Jackson Pollock, Yayoi Kusama, and thousands of other greats, grace this important gallery’s walls. We have been honoured to work with the NGA on a number of projects, including their 2019 program publication.
The program is a brand-based, 64–page publication that highlights the broad assortment of programming on offer throughout the year.
Composition II in paper, print and design
As the gallery’s programs are an extension of their brand, we needed to continue the brand story throughout the publication. It was important to create a cohesive visual narrative to match that of the content.
The bold and the beautiful
We deliberately chose imagery that was bold, optimistic and accessible, using light colours and shades. Our goal was to create a sense of spectacle and a befitting testament to the gallery’s blockbuster exhibitions. The design and palette were intended to appeal to a broad audience.
